How to optimize customer flows with self ordering kiosks

In physical points of sale, focusing on customer flow management is essential to reduce waiting times and thus improve the experience.

Discover how I-Toile Digital Signage supported Les Bateaux Bleus in optimizing the purchasing process using order terminals.

Les bateaux bleus, a successful french excursion agency

Established in the old port of Saint-Raphaël for more than 30 years, Les Bateaux Bleus offers numerous outings on the waters of the Mediterranean thanks to a fleet of 5 boats with a capacity of 38 to 269 seats.

Located in a very touristy area, the agency faced a real problem managing customer flows, particularly in high season.

In addition to the impact on teams, customers could become impatient and experience a degraded purchasing experience.

In order to streamline customer flows, Les Bateaux Bleus therefore decided to install autonomous order terminals.

Order terminals inside... as well as outside!

The project, led by I-Toile Digital Signage in collaboration with the Touchify technical team, includes 3 interactive terminals.

These screens allow you to consult all the available destinations and place orders up to the final payment stage and ticket printing.

The device includes:

  • 2 x control terminals inside
  • 1 x interactive totem outside

Samsung Kiosk in 24" format run under Chrome OS, Google's operating system.

These all-in-one devices natively integrate a printer and are designed to accommodate a payment terminal (TPE). Here, the choice fell on a model from Stripe.

On the outside, the waterproof totem is designed by I-Toile, made in France, and incorporates a professional Samsung touch screen.

On the application level

The order terminals are connected to the Resamare ERP, the software for sea trip professionals. They make it possible to manage the purchasing process up to the issue of tickets.

The exterior totem also allows you to communicate about offers and create an order basket. Not being equipped with a POS, this terminal generates a QR code in order to make payment on your smartphone and receive tickets by email.

The interface of the order terminals was designed in the no-code creation studio Touchify.
