EKOI revitalise its showroom with interactive mirrors

Discover how I-Toile meets the digitalization needs of physical points of sale. A look back at an interactive mirror screen project carried out in collaboration with Touchify for the EKOÏ brand.

An interactive device to energize the sales space

Born in Roubaix in 2001, the Ekoï cycling equipment brand can count on its numerous partnerships with professional riders to develop the products of tomorrow.

Based in Fréjus, the brand's official showroom was designed to highlight its know-how and present products exclusively available at physical points of sale.

Ekoï wanted to improve the attractiveness of its showroom by offering a unique experience. The aim was also to resolve the lack of product information available to inform customers.

The brand therefore approached I-Toile with an initial objective: to integrate the 16,000 references in its catalog on an interactive mirror screen.

When Touchify Analytics helps a project evolve

“We quickly realized that it was complicated for customers to find all the references, to have visibility on all the products." the manager of the Ekoï showroom immediately explains to us.

Gatien Pernet, fondateur de I-Toile, a ainsi pu « remettre en question l'application, données chiffrées à l'appui, grâce à Touchify Analytics. On a finalement constaté que c'était les produits les plus innovants qui remportaient l'adhésion. »

Gatien Pernet, founder of I-Toile, was thus able to “question the application, with supporting figures, thanks to Touchify Analytics. We ultimately found that it was the most innovative products that won support."

For Maxime Luce, CEO of Touchify, “A digitalization project is often iterative, it starts from a theoretical idea aimed at improving the customer experience in store or improving the brand image but it must quickly be confronted with consumers. They are the ones who dictate their needs and, very often, the first idea must be improved to adapt to these expectations. »

In consultation with Ekoï, the decision to try an approach based on technological innovations was taken in order to rethink the entire project.

Highlighting technological innovations

If the interactive device still offers the initial mirror screens, these now allow customers to browse the most innovative products in the Ekoï ranges independently.

They can thus configure the ranges and discover the different variants and customization possibilities. On a pair of glasses for example, it will be possible to change the color of the frame, choose the lenses, etc.

These screens allow visitors to immerse themselves in the brand's world and make an initial selection. Subsequently, they can call on a seller to continue their purchasing experience and benefit from their expertise and support to finalize. It is also possible to switch the screen to pure mirror mode in order to return to the real world and try the products.

The undeniable advantage of no-code for modifying a project

“The advantage over custom development is that we were able to create a new experience in just 2 days thanks to the Touchify creation studio” Gatien explains.

Because this is one of the advantages of Touchify: the right to make mistakes. The integrated studio allows you to create content simply, without development, and to readjust a project down to the smallest detail at any time.

“The deployment was done remotely without on-site technical intervention. All I had to do was unpublish the old project and publish the new one, with the screen already connected to the Touchify software." continues Gatien.

And added that “the teams were able to quickly transform the touch experience because they had total control over the content. They were able to completely modify the project without incurring significant development costs. »

I-TOile, a French digital furniture manufacturer

Founded in 2019, I-Toile strives to work in a short circuit and to control the entire production chain of its projects.

Its expertise extends from the manufacture of digital furniture giving pride of place to noble materials to the integration of dynamic or interactive screens from recognized brands such as Samsung, LG and Iiyama, including additional technological peripherals.

What drives Gatien Pernet, its manager, is “the challenge!” Listen to customer problems and propose the most relevant solutions, innovate, particularly in the retail sector. »

The material

The system is based on 3 interactive screens embedded in the walls and placed in a vertical position in strategic locations in the store: the men's and women's departments as well as the area devoted to accessories.

The 50 to 60 inch screens, and 19:9 format, are provided by Samsung. The mirror cover is custom-designed in aluminum by I-Toile and manufactured in France. It incorporates a 6mm thick touch mirror which has 40 points of contact simultaneously.

The screen can easily switch from digital to real: you can thus switch from an interactive mode to a classic mirror to continue the experience beyond digital.

Based on the Touchify platform, the application is connected to Ekoi's product database. It aims to offer a unique customer experience through a product configurator.

The fluid and dynamic user interface is specially designed by the Touchify teams to meet the needs and requirements of users and take into account the constraints of the screen, particularly in terms of colorimetry.
